ABOUT
Yo! I’m Artie.I’m a queer illustrator, homegrown in the middle of a rainforest, in the land of loch monsters and rain-covered mountains. I’ve always wanted to be a storyteller; I would spend every waking moment since childhood chasing sparks of inspiration to weave whimsical and wild stories to share with anyone who couldn’t keep me quiet fast enough, until my voice ran out.Now that I’m grown - though not much taller - I’ve become armed with whatever creative tool I can get my hands on, be it tablet pencil or crayon. I love creating weird and lively little guys that my ADHD-riddled brain can think and colorful illustrations to drop them in the middle of. Comics too, I really like those!I’m also a proud member of the LGBTQ+. It comes with its own series of challenges, but perseverance (and bucket loads of stubbornness) has always been crucial, and I hope that with it, I’ll be able to bring more representation into the world for my community.In between my bizarre and wacky bursts of creativity, I can be found within the local tropical biome I’ve handcrafted from my numerous house plants, drinking an alarming amount of coffee, and staring wistfully out towards the sun.
